The Town of Black Mountain is in the process of developing a bicycle plan to make bicycling safer and more convenient for residents and visitors of all ages and abilities. The plan will be used to guide future investments in on- and off-road bicycling facilities and support programs that encourage bicycling. There are multiple ways to get involved:
- The link to the second draft Working Paper may be downloaded here.
- Our Public Input Survey closed at the beginning of September. Additional input can be shared on the WikiMap for the Black Mountain Bicycle Plan.
- An Open House was held on Thursday, November 12 from 6-7:30 PM at the Carver Community Center. If you didn’t make it, you can still provide input here.
This planning initiative is supported by a grant from the NC Department of Transportation, and matching contributions from the Town and the Blue Ridge Bicycle Club.
